Provision Personal Finance

Managing financial situation is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Provision – a social sense of finance is the over-arching goal of Provision.

A Budget & Analytic System

Personal finance software heretofore unseen in the market. In a day-in-age where crowd funding for medical expenses is the norm and savings accounts don’t exist for a large part of the millennial population and debt is out of control nation-wide, a new solution focusing users on the future, on debt elimination, and on generosity (especially on generosity) is just what the market needs. The ability to import and review transactions is only a small part of this fintech solution. The budgeting, review, forecasting functions, and Generosity Engine™ are what sets Provision apart.

Generosity Engine ™

This is the something extra Provision has that others don’t – the “+”, the ace in the hole. Change can happen when enough people decide to get their extra and spread it around. Provision will help to make that happen and the core idea is simple: before discretionary spending is planned, there’s a place for planning to give. We want to change the definition of generosity to mean giving where it is needed at the moment it is needed rather than hoping for a trickle down effect. Provision will start by directing giving value based on income and then work with users to find more specific giving opportunities.

What will set Provision Apart

The features that make a difference .

Budget-Centric

Generating a budget is not only the core of the program, it is literally required to unlock the remaining functions of the software. Being gamified, the incentive to get it right helps complete the budget and utilize the full functionality of the software. Budgets will be both Zero-Base and Zero-Balancing meaning that the previous year will not inform the next year and the bottom line needs to be $0.00

Active Financial Participation

Going beyond “reviewing” transactions and trying to do better next time, Provision will focus user’s attention on what happened and guide them through change management requirements to adjust the budget and forecast a new value for the remainder of the budget period. 1. this is a “financial analyst’s approach”. 2. this is a method that produces a long-term shift in financial mentality.

Debt Elimination Focus

Debt is a major problem for many people and families. Provision will split debt into Functional and Regular to help users prioritize. This differs from some advice that says “all debt is bad.” This method would focus on eliminating the debts that are harmful (Regular) and allowing the other debts (Functional) to be taken care of later. The split between debt will help shift focus from panicking over debt to calmly eliminating it.

Future-oriented Financials

Gone are the days of looking at what has happened and trying to change the tactic in the future. The design of the software is always future oriented – what happens today has an effect on the future. E.g. an unplanned expense of $600 has to be accounted for and taken from somewhere else in the budget  – the bottom line must be zero. Rules will help not allow for a shift from savings or generosity to pay for discretionary spending.

Next-gen Data Management

Services like Plaid and Yodlee have been on the market for a while now. Besides making development go extremely fast, they will also provide a much-needed boost to the usability of the software. This is not new. Many companies use this and it will be something that will need to be internally developed over time. What will be a new development and a game-changer in the space (and carry over to expense reporting tools in the business) will be working with POS providers and retailers to make transactions entry even more streamlined (we will start with Target). Splitting receipts based on transaction details and pulling the most basic info from the retailer.

Your data at your fingertips

Provision is a paid service and in exchange for less than your daily latte fix each month, you can have all of your financial information with more insights than ever before. With a fee-based solution, you receive the peace of mind that your data is yours and not Innuevation’s. We do NOT use your data or access you data in our systems without your permission.
